Insurance rates represent the annual cost of a full-coverage policy for a 30-year-old male driver.

In addition to the year it was made, your Camaro’s insurance costs will also be impacted by its trim, with higher trim levels typically garnering higher rates. One of the key reasons for this is that trim level can have a huge influence on a vehicle’s value, which dictates the potential cost to insurers if they have to pay out to repair or replace your vehicle for a comprehensive or collision insurance claim. The 2016 Chevy Camaro SS, for example, has an estimated market value of $27,029, which is more than 40% more expensive than that of the 2016 Camaro LT—the cheapest trim level. Because of this value difference, Camaro SS owners will likely pay more for insurance than Camaro LT owners.

Another factor that affects how much it costs to insure a Camaro is driver age. In general, younger drivers can expect to pay much more for car insurance than older drivers. Based on our research of how age affects insurance rates, we estimate that Camaro insurance for a 21-year-old may be as much as 59% more expensive than it is for a 30-year-old driver.
